I got something to say!

I got something to say!

Strangers with Candy was one of the most delightfully surreal and deranged laugh out loud shows I’ve ever watched. Fuck, I loved Amy Sedaris as Jerri Blank – she was hi-LAR-ious (see what I did there?). I know I’m getting older because I feel like there’s too much tv now, but nothing to watch, which is just plain wrong & fucking ridiculous.

I dig Yellowjackets, it’s stupid fun. The White Lotus is always good. I really liked season 1 of Severance, but S2 was a snore fest that didn’t warm up until the final episode of the season, and then a friend told me it was going to be dragged out for 7-8 seasons, so I’ve dropped it. I’ll wait until the end of S3 when my friend will let me know if there’s any sort of resolution worth watching, but if it’s more of the same, well I won’t have wasted my time. I binged Dying for Sex last weekend and it fucking broke me – I ugly cried for a good 15 minutes after I’d turned the tv off and was still emotional the next day at work, when I asked my colleagues whether they’d seen it (they hadn’t) and teared up again as I explained the plot. Adolescence was brilliant, absolutely scarily fucking brilliant.

I’ve seen all 17 seasons of Drag Race, and I’ll watch it for as long as Ru Paul lets us. I can finally watch The Daily Show now it’s on Binge. I’d kidded myself that watching bits and pieces on YouTube and listening to the podcast was enough, but now I get to watch full episodes every night, I realise how much I’d missed it. Stewdlebug will always be one of my favourite people. I just dig the cat’s brain. Speaking of Stewdlebug, how fucking good is the tragically named The Weekly Show with… podcast??? Seriously, such an unimaginative title, but the podcast is an absolute joy of intelligent conversation with just the right amount of dick jokes to lighten everything up. Right now it’s neck and neck with PEP as to which I look forward to more each week.

I started the post stating I had something to say. I don’t. I have a glorious long weekend and I wanted to exercise my writing muscle a little as it has been so long. I missed Mama Moomah’s birthday last year, which is unforgivable. I love my Mama Moomah, she’s such a kind person.

OMFG – Liza Minnelli’s on Drag Race, I’m in heaven. Her joy is infectious! And Onya won, as she should – she was the best all season (although I was team Susie Toot).

Ok, I’m going to feed the dogs. I really do have a lot to say about the White House dick, but I’ll save that for later!

Shrivelled almonds – like regular almonds, but with more character and fewer hydration goals
